What do D1 Coaches do?
- Train D1 scholastic athletes, from age 7 to 18, D1 adult members, and sports teams
- Implement and instill D1’s training philosophy into every training workout
- Exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts to tailor them to our athletes
- Take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining constant personal contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals
- Form interpersonal relationships with athletes to maximize Personal Training (D1-on-1) opportunities
- Deliver personal training workouts to clients of all athletic levels
- Build relationships with local sports teams to drive D1 Team Training opportunities

Required qualifications and experience:
- Currently have, or in the process of attaining, a nationally recognized and accredited certification: CSCS/NASM/ACSM/ACE/CPT or equivalent
- College sports experience
- Proven training and coaching experience
- Passion for strength and conditioning
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, parents, youth, and employees
- A great teammate and servant leader
- Accountable and willing to work flexible hours
- Eager to develop professionally
- Adaptability
- Valid CPR and AED certifications
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- 1+ years of strength and speed training experience in a high school, collegiate, or professional performance/fitness setting
- Familiarity with training athletes and their specific environment and needs
- Experience in instructing workouts of 10+ people
- Experience in personal training and training people 1-on-1
- Existing relationships with local schools, coaches, and sports teams
- Live in the area

Responsibilities:
- Represent D1’s Mission and Core Values
- Coach 10 to 15 group training workouts per week
- Coach and manage workouts for groups up to 24 members
- Train individuals in the D1-on-1 and D1 Overtime programs
- Build and maintain relationships with each D1 member
- Ensure every D1 workout and program is implemented in a safe and consistent manner according to D1’s 5 Star Training System
- Deliver accurate, industry-leading, educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
- Create an exciting, high-energy atmosphere for the members
- Exhibit passion, expertise, high-energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
- Keep facility and equipment clean, inviting, and in excellent condition

Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's degree (preferable in exercise science, physical education, health, nutrition, kinesiology)
