Why our Semi-Private Trainers matter to NHF and our clients
The delivery of this service is crucial to the success of Northglenn Health and Fitness. Unlike gyms, we are a coaching facility that is only successful if our clients have attainable goals and follow through with action. Success for delivering this means our clients are showing up and reaching their goals. With a good semi private trainer our clients will get those results!
💪 Responsibilities - Deliver Client Results
Relationships Are #1
- Understand and develop a strong relationship with your client so you can dig deep and understand their "Why" (Why are their goals important to them)
- Ensure you are there 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled session to prepare anything you need for the client's session to be delivered smoothly.
- Greet them in the gym when they arrive and connect with them on anything new since you last spoke.
- Acknowledge and praise any homework completed by client.
- Use encouraging words to motivate each athlete based on their goals.
- If homework was not complete, be curious, while being kind.
- Take one good picture of each client during each session and upload them here.
- As they leave, connect again and provide a bright spot of their workout.
- Remind them of any homework in Coach Rx designed for them to reach their goals.
Technical Service Delivery
Follow this Running Semi Private trainings checklist (link will be provided during interview) including everything below
- Minimum 24 hours in advance: Review CoachRx to understand program delivery for each client expected in that session.
- Understand the movements and have a plan to demonstrate.
- Identify 1-2 actionable things during the session for the client to focus on that will improve the movement pattern you see them demonstrating. Coach them on these.
- Ensure client is following program, including rest, as designed by programming coach.
- Take notes during the session to communicate with programming coach post session.
- Check Clients in to Kilo
Communication
- Transpose your notes into CoachRx and anything urgent via Slack.
- Communicate any relevant member information in CoachRx or in one of the appropriate slack channels. #stoplight, #brightspots, or a direct message to CSM to update any notes in their athlete slite file. Highlights, personal life events, negative comments, issues.

- You must be able to explain technical movements in common sense terms.
- You must be able to quickly adapt based on unknown changes - weather, injuries, size of class.
- You must naturally have an engaging extroverted personality when working with clietnts.
