We offer employees base hourly pay plus commission on all paid sessions. At The Gym you have plenty of room to grow by obtaining additional certifications and maintaining higher client loads.
As a “The Gym” Personal Trainer, you'll help our members achieve their potential through fitness by providing customized fitness programs to our members including education and guidance on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and other program.
Responsibilities
- Conduct service appointments with members which includes body fat analysis, nutritional counseling, proper use of fitness equipment, proper form of exercises, etc.
- Advise members on ways to achieve their fitness goals.
- Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our members’ personal fitness and exercise goals.
- Continually monitor and assist members to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness.
- Responsible for achieving the monthly revenue goal established by the Fitness Manager.
- Partner with the membership sales team to help new members achieve their fitness goals with personal training.
Coordinator Responsibilities
Ensures consistent service excellence by all team members, resulting in a clean, crisp and friendly environment and culture
Maintaining a clean facility
A portion of your role is scheduling and conducting presentations with new members
· Including but not limited to performing 5-10 high quality sales presentations to new members per week in order to sell training services to personal training staff. (New member orientations, comp sessions (new / former clients) and Styku Body composition scans.
· Following up with members and referrals
· Mentoring and training The Gym Personal Trainers in sales and presentations.
· Converting 30- 50% of these sessions to paid training each month.
Responsible for setting up recurring billing for all personal training contracts, signing and uploading the document to the member's account.
Responsible for the successful attainment of company targets, including revenue and client retention
· Drives the PT revenue of the club
· Maintains a high closing percentage
Monthly meetings with the GM
Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our members’ personal fitness and exercise goals and help them to achieve their goals.
Continually monitor and assist members to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises.
Ensure facility cleanliness and tidiness.
Responsible for achieving the monthly revenue goal established by the General Manager
Partner with the membership sales team to help new members achieve their fitness goals with personal training.
Participates and assists in the creation and implementation of quarterly events in and outside of the club (including quarterly launches, special programming and events, community events, etc.)
Schedules all mentoring, sessions and meetings in twin oaks schedule. All hours and sessions must be in twin oaks and completed before payroll is completed.
Mentoring and Sales Training: Up to 5 hours per week
Administration: Up to 5 hours per week
Presentations: 5-10 hours per week
PT Sessions 20+ hours per week
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in designing and implementing fitness regimens
- Current CPR certification
- Current AED certification
- College degree in fitness related field with relevant work experience is preferred but not required
- Requires the ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone
- Bilingual speaking candidate preferred but not required
- Current certification from a nationally recognized organization is required.
