Principal Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Director and Fitness Coordinator, the Personal Trainer is responsible for exercise advice and personalized training for clients on a one-on-one basis and or in small groups (2-4 clients). The position will oversee the development of fitness programs that will meet the specific fitness/physical needs of clients and will ensure that exercises are done safely and with proper form.
Minimum Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide excellent customer service and help to maintain a positive user experience in the fitness center.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with clients to help them define and meet their fitness goals.
- Write workout plans to be used by clients with and without your supervision.
- Provide fitness education to gym users.
- Perform fitness evaluations/assessments for new members.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Self motivated and passionate.
- Minimum 1-year of working in a gym setting preferred.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Dependable, patient, friendly and professional.
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: - Possess and maintain a current Personal Training Certification.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
