Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Part-Time Personal Trainer to join our team in Newburyport, MA. This role is ideal for a trainer who values quality of movement, individualized programming, and helping clients feel stronger, more confident, and pain-free in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one and small-group training sessions focused on posture, strength, mobility, and functional movement
Assess client posture, movement patterns, and physical limitations to design safe, effective, individualized programs
Educate clients on body awareness, proper technique, and sustainable movement habits
Modify exercises appropriately for injuries, chronic pain, or special populations
Track client progress and adjust programming as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment
Communicate professionally and collaboratively with clients and team members
Qualifications
Current personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and movement patterns
Experience working with posture correction, injury prevention, or rehabilitative-style training preferred
Ability to work with a wide range of clients, including beginners and those with physical limitations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule & Commitment
Part-time position with flexible scheduling
Availability for some mornings or evenings preferred
