Job Overview
The role of the Head Coach is one of leadership. Our Head Coach must possess the tangibles and intangibles of a great leader. They manage their team of coaches, community of athletes, and the overall fitness operation. We expect them to lead by example. The head coach’s goal is to build community and drive culture while helping his/her team perfect their skills and deeply understand the core values of Narrows CrossFit.
The Head Coach is the ‘face’ of the business and has the opportunity to develop strong relationships with all athletes. Welcoming and introducing new members to CrossFit, coaching group classes, and developing and managing member retention systems. They will also be working directly with owners to facilitate gym success and growth. As the person closest to our community, members, and coaches, their feedback and communication is key.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of the business. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Add value through relentless positivity, engagement, and passion.
- Handle member inquiries through an established sales process and be able to provide information about program(s) and offerings.
- Work with all levels of athletes (Beginner to Advanced).
- Leading and coaching group fitness classes as well as cultivating success through a robust personal training program.
- Oversee the gym schedule and manage class coverage each week.
- Organize class scheduling to ensure all classes appropriately staffed.
- Observe, develop and lead coaching team and curate overall program offering.
- Facilitate team meetings.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members to foster growth and development.
- Review/manage payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate team member compensation.
- Identify, recruit and train new team members along with GM.
- Retain members through creating and promoting a world class, positive, and fun environment.
- Develop and monitor systems to improve and maintain client retention.
- Assist in promotional endeavors like social media and content development.
- Assist as needed with facility improvements, cleanliness, maintenance, individual projects.
- Manage daily maintenance, equipment, and cleanliness of the facility. Notify management of equipment needing maintenance,
- Support the planning and facilitation of community events along with GM.
- Attend and promote gym events.
- Assist in certain marketing and business development objectives along with GM.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 – 29 per week
