Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Trainer/Strength Coach to lead individual and group strength training sessions, and deliver expert fitness guidance. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable in the foundational strength movements—deadlifts, bench press, and squats—and have experience with kettlebells, TRX suspension systems, and other forms of functional training. This role requires a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and personalized programming that helps clients succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead 1-on-1 personal training sessions, small group training, and fitness classes.
- Demonstrate and coach the proper technique for foundational lifts (deadlift, bench press, squats) and ensure client safety.
- Teach and coach clients in the use of kettlebells, TRX suspension systems, and other functional training tools.
- Assess clients' fitness levels and create customized workout plans tailored to their goals.
- Provide continuous feedback and adjustments to ensure clients are progressing safely and effectively.
- Educate clients on proper exercise form, techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
- Foster a motivating and supportive atmosphere that helps clients reach their potential.
- Track and document client progress to ensure consistency and success.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Personal Trainer (NSCA, ACE, NASM, or equivalent).
- AED/CPR certification (required).
- Personal Liability Insurance (required).
- Strong competency in the big 3 lifts (deadlift, bench press, squats) with a focus on teaching proper form.
- Experience with kettlebells, TRX suspension systems, and other functional training methods.
- Knowledge of strength training principles, anatomy, and injury prevention.
- Ability to effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in a gym or fitness facility environment is preferred.
