Program Staff – Contract Exercise Team Member
The Gathering Place is a non-profit community-based cancer center located in Cleveland Ohio that supports, educates, and empowers individuals and families coping with the impact of cancer through programs and services provided free of charge. We are seeking a contract exercise team member to work with participants in The Gathering Place fitness center, located within our Beachwood office.
Job Summary: This position focuses on guiding participants through utilizing exercise equipment in a safe, supportive environment designed to meet their unique physical and emotional needs during and after cancer treatment. This position is 10-18 hours/week in the afternoon/early evenings, and occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor participants in the fitness space to ensure safe and appropriate use of
exercise equipment.
• Complete health and fitness screenings for participants new to The Gathering Place
exercise programs.
• Create an encouraging and inclusive environment that promotes empowerment
and connection.
