Position: Personal Trainer
Supervisor: Director of Training
Hours: Hours scheduled on an individual basis. Some meetings may meet outside of scheduled hours.
As a Personal Trainer for Body & Soul Fitness and Spa, LLC, you will have the ability to positively impact our members on a daily basis by guiding them through goal setting, safe and effective workouts, and by providing feedback on their individual progress. By doing these things, you will motivate and inspire them to achieve their goals of health and wellness. Personal Trainers will work one-on-one, in small groups and in mid-sized groups. To support the cohesiveness of Body & Soul Fitness and Spa, this position requires a uniform.
Job Components & Requirements:
Customer Service: The Personal Trainer position requires that the utmost customer service is provided with an encouraging and enthusiastic attitude at all times while in the Body & Soul facility. Personal Trainers will ensure a safe and effective workout for all members within the class and adjust the training as needed within guidelines. It is important to begin and end training sessions on time with employees checking in at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled class and staying to address any member questions. If there are no members on the schedule, the shift will be utilized by helping coach other gym clients, tidying up or creating a sense of community by visiting with members of the gym. Employees will check out directly after they have wrapped up their assigned shift.
Inter-office Communication & Responsibilities: Communicates regularly with the Director of Training regarding any equipment needs or concerns of any kind. Personal Trainers will be expected to help promote the training programs within the Body & Soul facility as well as promote and assist with events put on by Body & Soul that may occur outside of the facility.
Certifications: Will maintain up-to-date certifications as required by Body & Soul Fitness and Spa standards as well as ACE, ACSM, NASM, CSCS, NSCA or similar certifications. Must have appropriate Team Alloy certification where applicable. Must have current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
