Job Description
The Fitness Sales Manager (AKA Membership Services Manager) is responsible for welcoming potential and current members to the fitness center. During this process, the individual is responsible for giving facility tours, executing strategy sessions, identifying and responding appropriately to the needs of potential and current members, selling and upselling memberships and fitness/sports performance programming, cross-selling for numerous departments, and identify and capitalize on additional revenue streams. This position will primarily work evenings and weekends.
 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruit new fitness center members
  • Enhance member experience by enhancing the new member onboarding process and 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month follow ups.
  • Generate additional revenue for Spooky Nook Sports by cross-selling customers on additional offerings from other departments
  • Conduct facility tours focused on the needs of the potential member
  • Hire, train, manage, and schedule the fitness desk representatives
  • Responsible for the revenue and growth of the Membership
  • Serve in a leadership role to support part-time staff during their shift
  • Explain in detail the types of memberships, programming, and services offered in the complex to customers and guests
  • Maintain high level of customer service and positive attitude for all interactions with potential and current members
  • Listen to and log all questions/recommendations from members to improve experience
  • Implement monthly member engagement programs
  • Assist members with the process of signing up for strategy sessions and personal training sessions
  • Process payments and assist in collections of unpaid dues
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service role
Experience in sales in fitness or a related industry
Experience leading and managing a team
Must be 18 years of age or older
Dependable transportation to and from work
Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
Authorized to work in the United States
