Job Description

The Class Leader provides cutting-edge group fitness instruction through entertaining, educating, and guiding participants through the workout movements, timing, and progressions and modifications. Promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment is of the utmost importance. They act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintains positive, exciting, fun, and welcoming relationships with participants to encourage continued class attendance. The Class Leader is responsible for consistently meeting daily class attendance goals as well as effectively promote the gym.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES.

Correctly checks participants into class. Ensures all participants have correctly signed up and have signed liability waiver

Develops positive relationships with class participants

Guides class through pre-designed workouts

Educates class participants on correct form and alternative modifications

Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes

Assist with studio tour and sales as needed

Maintain a strong social media presence to increase class following

Cleans equipment and organizes studio space after each class

Promotes gym programs, products, and services while specifically encouraging participation in classes

 
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Must exude charisma and thrive in a large group environment
Must be professional, mature, self-motivated, timely, and dependable
One (1) or more years of fitness instructor work experience OR commitment to training program
Current CPR/AED Certification
Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA)
Ability to demonstrate all the exercises, stretches, movements, cleaning, and an aerobic activity for duration of a class and before and after class
Ability to create a high energy, positive environment that welcomes all people
Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds
