Job Description
Our fitness center is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. Industry experience is not required, but first-rate people skills and a self-motivated work ethic are! Work in a fun, upbeat atmosphere where people come to achieve their goals. Fitness Sales Representative — The perfect applicant will be available for flexible hours on occasion, be a team player, have a passion for health and fitness, and most importantly, be a great representative of our fitness center! To be considered for this position, you must be a high-energy self-starter, have an extroverted personality, enjoy sales, be comfortable forming relationships with new people and be willing to wear a variety of hats... often at a moment's notice.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

(Flexibility) The responsibilities of this position include everything from sales to light cleaning so we need a versatile employee who will do whatever is required to make our gym the best it can be within their capacity. If you’re uncomfortable calling members and scheduling appointments, taking prospective members on tours, discussing pricing and removing obstacles to making a sale or helping to keep our facility and equipment clean and organized throughout your shift, this is not the right position for you.

(Schedule) As we have 2 locations in NOLA, these positions will be expected to support both as required. Our staffed hours begin as early as 8:30AM and end as late as 8:30PM M-Th, 8:30AM - 6:30PM on Fri and 8:30AM - 2:30PM on Sat, so your schedule will generally fall within these times.

(Day-to-Day Responsibilities) We help our guests overcome their own roadblocks to starting a fitness program. With an outgoing personality and a little practice, it really doesn't feel like sales at all.

Take initiative wherever required to ensure the success of this club.
Greet members and guests promptly, enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly, positive, community environment.
Generate leads, handle inquiries, follow up promptly and convert to sales.
Properly on-board all members.
Respond immediately to members’ requests, inquiries and concerns.
Process accurate payment transactions.
Help ensure overall member satisfaction and member retention.
Attend and participate in club marketing events and training programs.
Help keep our gym clean, from exercise areas, to equipment to restrooms.

(Compensation)

We offer competitive compensation including a free membership with group classes and tanning and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
Job Requirements
To thrive in this position, you must will enjoy working in a health club environment, have a friendly, outgoing personality, and genuinely care about fitness and helping others. Furthermore, you must possess the following knowledge, experience and traits:

Intermediate level fitness knowledge. Even if you’re not a fitness professional, a gym must be a very familiar environment to you.
Sales and/or retail experience.
Positive attitude.
High energy.
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, be a team player and get the job done.
Proficiency in Excel and Word (with PowerPoint being a plus).
